Wrapping up a tense murder trial that saw at least one family member removed from the courtroom, a Baton Rouge jury on Thursday found that Terrell Walker acted in self-defense when he fatally shot an older cousin outside a family gathering in 2024.
The 23-year-old Walker was on trial for second-degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Norris Robinson Jr. He also faced a charge of attempted second-degree murder in the non-fatal shooting of Robinson’s then-17-year-old daughter, as well as a count of illegal use of a firearm.
