BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Lafayette-based restaurant serving sweet and savory biscuits and breakfast and brunch items is opening a Baton Rouge location later this year.
Biscuits are a classic Southern favorite, served hot, fluffy and buttery. Parish Biscuit Company takes it to another level, offering an array of flavors. From the traditional biscuits and gravy combo to biscuits topped with flavorful catfish and crawfish étouffée.

Owner Steven Laborde anticipates a late August to early September opening at 220 W. Lee Drive in Baton Rouge. He said the opening is pending final construction, inspections and permitting.
According to Laborde, these are the three most popular biscuit items:
- Allen Parish Biscuit: It includes a crispy fried pork cutlet, bacon jam, smoked sausage and tasso gravy, and a fried egg on a buttermilk biscuit.
- Saint Martin Biscuit: This tasty biscuit creation involves slow-smoked brisket, pimento cheese, blueberry BBQ sauce, candied jalapeños, and a fried egg.
- Acadia Biscuit: Enjoy a seafood-filled biscuit with crispy fried catfish, housemade crawfish étouffée, fried crawfish tails, and green onions.
Beyond biscuits, breakfast, brunch and lunch menus include burgers, sandwiches, omelets, pancakes, and salads. The restaurant will also feature a full bar serving handcrafted cocktails and specialty coffees…
