Build Baton Rouge launches storefront grant program to revitalize Plank Road corridor

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Small businesses along a portion of Plank Road could soon receive a facelift through a new grant program designed to strengthen one of North Baton Rouge’s historic commercial corridors.

Build Baton Rouge has launched its Front Door Refresh Program, offering grants of up to $10,000 to eligible business and commercial property owners for exterior improvements. The program targets properties along Plank Road between North 22nd Street and Clayton Street and does not require applicants to provide matching funds.
