EBRSO: Months-long drug investigation leads to arrests, seizure of fentanyl, guns and cash

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A months-long investigation by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office led to several arrests and the seizure of fentanyl, other drugs, firearms, and cash, according to EBRSO.

Officials said the investigation focused on a Baton Rouge-area drug trafficking organization allegedly led by Ronny Howard Jr. and his uncle, Ronrico Terrell.

According to EBRSO, narcotics agents spent two months conducting surveillance and made multiple controlled purchases of fentanyl and methamphetamine from members of the organization. Investigators later obtained search warrants for seven locations in Baton Rouge.

Those warrants were executed Wednesday, July 9, with help from multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies…
