A trial date was set Tuesday morning for a Geismar couple charged with second-degree murder in the death of their 5-year-old son, who investigators say died after months of severe neglect and malnourishment.
A judge set the trial for March 16 in the 23rd Judicial District. It is expected to last up to three days.
