BATON ROUGE, La. / COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Louisiana First) — A former Texas A&M University running back is in jail after a two-year-old boy accidentally shot himself.
According to Lousiana First in Baton Rouge, the boy hold of a gun inside a home on South Flannery Road. The ensuing investigation led to 23-year-old Le’Veon Moss, of Baton Rouge, being charged with cruelty to juveniles.
The Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) contacted the parents of the boy at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital around 1:50 p.m. on Monday, July 20. Moss told police he and his girlfriend were at the home and their son was in bed, according to BRPD.
The child’s father said the boy was able to gain possession of a gun and accidentally fired one shot. BRPD said Moss and his girlfriend then took the boy to the hospital via personal vehicle…
