Prairieville just got a new ice cream parlor called Ella Jean’s Ice Cream & Treats.
At 40306 La. 42, Suite 106, retro decor ornaments are seemingly in every corner. Take a seat in the palms of yellow or pink hand-shaped chairs or snap a photo by the old-school, ice-blue car bench below a neon sign. Don’t forget to grab an ice cream cone first.
Co-owner Lauren Cappo named the sweet treat oasis after her 10-year-old daughter, Ella Jean. Cappo is also the owner of Galvez Seafood, right next door. With Ella Jean’s love for ice cream, Cappo thought an ice-cream parlor would be a fun addition to the shopping center.
