(KMDL-FM) Louisiana’s weather forecast is about to undergo a bit of a transition this week. Our weather conditions will go from simply oppressively hot to oppressively hot with a risk of severe thunderstorms to start the week; then things will settle into more of the typical weather pattern of afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms breaking the heat of a summer afternoon.
Sunday saw very few storms form in the late afternoon, but those that did spawned severe weather warnings and watches. The same can be expected today. The bulk of the severe weather will be bounded by I-49 on the west and U.S. Highway 84 to the north.
