Baton Rouge police request public’s help in armed robbery case

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man they believe is tied to an armed robbery investigation.

According to police, the robbery took place around 9 p.m. on Feb. 25 in the 2400 block of Weldwood Drive near Millerville Road. The man was allegedly armed with a pistol, approached the victim and robbed them before forcing them into a vehicle.

The man then took the victim to multiple ATM locations, where they were forced to withdraw money, police confirmed.
