Community Invited to National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Outreach Event in Baker

Baker, LA – In recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, community members are invited to attend a special outreach event dedicated to supporting victims and survivors of crime on April 22, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Baker Municipal Auditorium, 3325 Groom Rd in Baker.

This event will bring together individuals registered for offender notifications through the Louisiana Victim Outreach Program and the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, as well as victims, survivors, service providers, community leaders, and volunteers.

The gathering is designed to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where attendees can connect with vital resources, learn about their rights, and take meaningful steps toward healing. The program will be hosted by Mayor Darnell Waite, who will welcome attendees to the City of Baker.
