This Baton Rouge cookie truck owner meets Keith Lee and walks away extra blessed

Baton Rouge baker Frederique “Freddie” Bekale has been selling her famous cookies out of her “Cookies by Freddie” truck for almost a year now. When she saw that social media food critic Keith Lee was going to be in Lafayette, she knew it was her chance to meet him.

Lee said in a recent TikTok video that Bekale had reached out to him via Instagram and email every single day for four years. She waited for four days in Lafayette for Lee to taste the cookies, posting on her Instagram each day of the time and location.

Lee finally dropped by and tasted the cookies on April 25. He gave the chocolate chip cookie, the cookies and cream cookie, the S’mores cookie, the oatmeal raisin with white chocolate and the lemon white chocolate all strong reviews.

In his TikTok, Lee says he is looking for two spots for his Familee Day Festival in New Orleans. He invited Bekale to be a vendor at his festival, gave her a $1000 tip and $1000 to pay for other people to get free cookies…
