BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Southern University’s softball team earned a No. 2 seed in the Western Division as the start of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament nears.
The Jaguars are set to play against the East Division No. 3 seed Bethune-Cookman University at 1 p.m. on May 5 at the Gulfport Sportsplex. The university said Southern’s softball team had a historic regular season, posting a program record 32 wins.
