Seattle police seek help to identify suspect in downtown assault

SEATTLE — Seattle police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect connected to a violent assault earlier this month in downtown Seattle.

On May 4, officers responded around 12:06 a.m. to reports of a man lying on the ground outside the Renaissance Hotel in the 500 block of Madison Street in Seattle’s Central Business District.

Investigators said the 35-year-old victim was bent over in front of the hotel when a suspect approached and hit him in the head with an object, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect then allegedly continued assaulting the man before leaving the area…
