Renton’s Valley Medical Center Unveils New Name and Logo

Renton’s Valley Medical Center this week unveiled a new name and logo that it says reflect the organization’s history, values, and vision as it enters its next chapter as an independent public-hospital district.

The organization has begun transitioning to its new name, Valley Medical Center & Clinics, and is rolling it out over the next few months — gradually transitioning signage, print materials, digital platforms, and other branded items to reflect its new identity — with the goal of completing the transition by Jan. 1. Valley’s network includes the 341-bed acute care hospital; more than 50 primary, urgent, and specialty-care clinics; and almost 3,700 staff. It’s the largest nonprofit health care provider between Seattle and Tacoma.

Valley Medical Center & Clinics is ending its affiliation with UW Medicine at the end of the year, when a 15-year agreement that began in 2011 expires. Valley’s elected Board of Commissioners voted in December 2024 not to renew the agreement…
