A pair of empty office buildings near Costco’s Issaquah headquarters could soon get a very different second act: 262 apartments instead of corporate workspaces. The proposal would turn a former Microsoft campus into one of the city’s biggest office-to-housing conversions yet.
The concept was detailed by Puget Sound Business Journal, which reported that the vacant buildings are being targeted for residential reuse. Issaquah planning documents identify the proposal as Vintage at Parq, and the report says it could bring hundreds of affordable units, although the final affordability mix and financing plan have not been publicly outlined.
The project remains early-stage rather than shovel-ready. The city’s Q1 2026 development report says a pre-application meeting was held in November 2025 for converting the two existing office buildings into residential apartments, with amenity spaces distributed throughout the five- and six-story structures.
From Microsoft Offices To Apartment Buildings
The two buildings are part of The ParQ, an office campus with roughly 411,000 square feet across its two remaining structures.
