14,000-mile mission ends as Polar Star returns to Seattle

SEATTLE — An emotional homecoming on the Seattle waterfront, 146 days in the making.

“It’s great to be home. Everybody misses their friends and family, pets, whatever that might be, but it’s great to be back in Seattle,” said Capt. Jeff Rasnake, the Commanding officer of the Polar Star.
