Viral makeshift homeless shelter with chimney dismantled by Seattle city crews

SEATTLE — A makeshift homeless shelter that had a built-in chimney was dismantled on Wednesday, but crews with Seattle’s Unified Care Team (UCT) left about a half dozen other tents in place along a street in Ballard.

The structure, a video of which went viral on social media, was put together with scrap metal and wood and had a working stove pipe fastened along one wall.
