Man pleads not guilty to murder charge after fatal Lynnwood bar shooting

EVERETT, Wash. — A 44-year-old man pleaded not guilty to a second-degree murder charge and a related alleged assault offense in the fatal shooting of a Lynnwood man after what investigators say began as an argument inside a bar and escalated outside.

Joseph Raymond entered not guilty pleas to both counts, each with a firearm allegation, during an arraignment in Snohomish County Superior Court. A judge increased his bail to $1 million, up from $500,000, after hearing arguments from prosecutors, defense attorneys and the victim’s family.
