Oscar Myre III turns 79 this year. He has spent nearly eight decades sharing a name — give or take one letter — with one of America’s most recognizable processed-meat brands. His son is Oscar Myre IV. His grandson is Oscar Myre V. And this spring, his granddaughter Chloe decided her grandfather deserved a birthday surprise worthy of the name.
