SEATTLE — Seattle could soon see larger homeless shelters and tiny home villages as city leaders move to temporarily expand capacity to meet demand and make use of available public land.
The Seattle City Council is expected to vote on legislation that would increase the number of people allowed at shelter sites. Tiny home villages are currently limited to 100 people per site, but the proposed bill would allow shelters to host 150 people. One site per council district would be capped at 250 people.
