Firefighters rescue 12-year-old girl stuck 20 feet up in a tree in Edmonds

A 12-year-old girl required help from firefighters to get down from a tree after climbing too high.

The girl had climbed roughly 20 feet up into a tree and couldn’t get back down. Crews with South County Fire were called to the Maplewood Cooperative School in Edmonds just after 5 p.m. Monday to rescue the child. South County Fire posted the rescue on Facebook.

Firefighters from Ladder 14 and Engine 16 extended their ladder and brought her safely to the ground…
