Catalytic converter theft in Seattle led detectives to stolen vehicles, suspected cockfighting ring in Auburn

SEATTLE — Seattle detectives raided a five-acre King County property in Auburn this week, uncovering a suspected multi-crime operation that included eight stolen vehicles, a stolen excavator, 13 catalytic converters, and what investigators believe is an illegal cockfighting ring.

The case has a connection to a routine theft call in Seattle’s University District two months ago.
