Former Jefferson County deputy indicted in DUI case

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A former Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy has been indicted for her role in a DUI crash.

Investigators said Shamonte Lanfair was intoxicated when she ran a red light and crashed her patrol car in October. She was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree DUI assault.
