Birmingham students use AI to tell the story of the Children’s Crusade in a new way

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — When Phillips Academy student Jamyah Rembert began researching Birmingham’s civil rights history, she expected to learn facts and dates.

Instead, she found a story that felt personal.

“I saw a kid in the video,” Rembert said. “He couldn’t even form sentences. He was saying, ‘I want freedom.’ It really hit close to home because it shows me that wow, I can do a lot. Even if a three-year-old can do it, I can do it too.”…
