Storm strikes Bessemer, prompts 47 emergency calls

BESSEMER, Ala. (WBRC) – A storm struck Bessemer on Monday afternoon, June 1, keeping first responders busy for more than seven hours and prompting 47 emergency calls.

A tree fell on Hall Avenue during the storm, damaging a truck and a nearby home. The damage across the city was considered light, and no injuries were reported.
