BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A director with Central Alabama Water (CAW) says plans are in place to move the utility’s headquarters out of Jefferson County and into Shelby County.
According to CAW Board Director Sheila Tyson, plans to relocate the utility’s headquarters from its current First Avenue location have largely been kept quiet. Tyson said CAW employees have contacted her with concerns about how the move could impact the utility and the water it provides.
“We have had calls from several employees and even some of our leaders over there saying they are concerned about moving from the First Avenue location,” Tyson said…
