BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WSFA) – Two years after a shark attack forever changed the life of Mountain Brook teen Lulu Gribbin, the now 17-year-old survivor has turned the trauma of that day into a push to help prevent future shark attacks and to fight for access to better prosthetics for amputees.
Gribbin was 15 years old and on a family trip to a Florida beach in 2024 when a shark bit her, causing her to lose her left hand and right leg.
