JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – The Miss Jefferson County and Miss Jefferson Teen competition crowned the first recipient of the Christina Chambers Impact Award on Saturday.
Chambers, a Cullman native, joined the WBRC sports team in 2015 and served as a judge for the pageant in 2020. She died in December 2025.
The Christina Chambers Impact Award is given to the contestant who best reflects how Chambers lived her life — with joy, putting others first, and giving back to those around her.
To be considered, contestants shared their community service work, the initiatives they have led and the legacies they are building in their own communities.
The award is open to both a Miss or Teen contestant and comes with a $400 scholarship…
