BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — A man is in custody following a fatal shooting in Bessemer on Sunday morning.
According to the Bessemer Police Department, officers were dispatched at about 4 a.m. to the 2800 block of Browning Road Southeast on a report of a person shot. At the scene, police found 46-year-old Mathew James Burdett inside a vehicle in a driveway suffering from a gunshot wound.
