People living in Willows Apartments forced to move after complex considered unfit to live in

HOOVER, Ala. (WBRC) – Some Hoover families and neighbors are looking for a new place to live after the Willows Apartments complex announced it is closing.

According to paperwork shared with WBRC, the group now managing the Willows decided the property is not fit for people to live in. Management is working with neighbors to help them move out by September 20.

Timeline of events

The city of Hoover’s code enforcement opened a case on the Willows Apartments in April, noticing garbage throughout the property. According to a report, there was also broken glass and no manager or maintenance on site.

The complex switched management companies at the end of July, and neighbors have since learned they need to move out…
