The 12-member Cahaba Heights Baptist Church, a little country church with a sprawling historic cemetery attached, sits on four acres a mile north of The Summit Shopping Center, where the fashion savvy people of greater Birmingham shop and dine.
It’s like an old-time rural church, with roots going back to 1894, trapped in time as Alabama’s trendiest suburbs grew up around it. The cemetery was founded in 1897, and burials still take place there.
