Alabama teen gunned down outside residence in broad daylight

An Alabama teenager was killed in a shooting in broad daylight Saturday, investigators said.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified Kirby Lashon Tate Jr., 19, of Bessemer, as the victim in a Saturday shooting outside a residence in the 300 block of Norwood Avenue.

Investigators said the shooting happened at approximately 12:48 p.m. Saturday and Tate was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:14 p.m.

Bessemer police said they continue to investigate the murder, but by Monday morning had not made any arrests.
