The Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center at UAB will host a performance by David Foster and Katharine McPhee on March 2. The event will feature Foster and McPhee performing a selection of their popular songs. The program includes Foster’s hits from artists like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and Michael Bublé, and McPhee’s songs from ‘American Idol,’ ‘Smash,’ and ‘Waitress.’ The performance will start at 8 p.m., with food and drinks available beforehand.
David Foster, a Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter, has worked with artists such as Dion, Groban, and Bublé. He has won three Grammy Awards for Producer of the Year, an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe, and has been nominated for three Oscars for Best Original Song.
Katharine McPhee gained fame on Season 5 of ‘American Idol.’ Her debut single reached No. 2 on the Billboard’s Hot Singles Sales chart, and her first album, released in 2008, achieved gold status. She has also acted in ‘Smash,’ ‘Scorpion,’ and ‘Waitress.’ Recently, she appeared in the Netflix Original Series ‘Country Comfort.’
