Jacksonville, AL – An arrest has been made in connection with a burglary at Edwards Grocery and a subsequent high-speed chase that occurred in late March, according to Jacksonville Police Chief Marcus Wood.
Authorities reported that Marcus Dewayne Evans, 24, of Bessemer, was taken into custody on Monday, April 20. Evans is charged with third-degree burglary and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement. His arrest marks the first of three expected in the case.
