A Birmingham-based addiction treatment provider is significantly expanding its footprint after completing a merger that will extend its operations across five U.S. states. The deal brings together Recover Now, a behavioral health and addiction treatment services provider headquartered in Birmingham, and Widespread Wellness, a mental health treatment company with established facilities in Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.
Following the merger, Recover Now will broaden its service network to include facilities in Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. The expansion marks a notable step in the company’s growth strategy, positioning it as a larger regional provider within the behavioral health and addiction treatment sector. The combined organization aims to strengthen access to care across multiple states, particularly in areas where demand for mental health and addiction services continues to rise.
As part of its post-merger growth plan, the company intends to add 142 new treatment beds over the next two years. This expansion is designed to increase capacity for inpatient and residential care services, which remain in high demand across the behavioral health industry.
