The Regions Tradition is back at Greystone for its 34th year, and organizers say the longtime Birmingham-area tournament continues to grow, with support reaching new highs.
“There’s really nothing dramatically different,” said Gene Hallman, Executive Director of the Regions Tradition. Hallman said sponsorship support, fan support, and volunteers “on all fronts are at their highest point ever,” adding that while there are “a lot of behind-the-scenes changes,” there is “nothing really huge.”
One of the biggest draws again this year is the Wednesday pro-am, which Hallman called “consistently one of the best days of the year.” He said the pro-am “Has become an event unto itself” and now attracts a spectator crowd comparable to what many tour events see on a Saturday or Sunday…
