BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – If you’ve ever spent forever trying to figure out what musicians are playing and where, you’re not alone. There’s a free app you can download to get the inside scoop behind Birmingham’s live music scene.
Pelli creators Rich and Stephanie Melville say there’s been a gap since the old Black & White listings folded. And after the pandemic, they say it got even harder to track shows as people moved away from Facebook groups.
So what is Pelli?
An app designed to help you find live music fast, without the endless scrolling. It includes info on national touring acts…similar to what you might see on major music platforms. But the Melvilles say Pelli also highlights what those platforms miss: the live local music scene happening around you.
Their tagline: “Every show, every city, every night.”
They say you can use it in any U.S. city. You can search by date or genre, from R&B and hip-hop to country and rock…
