TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — April’s finances for the City of Trussville arrived stronger than expected, reporting strong monthly results and gains from sales tax, during the City Council’s May 21 meeting.
Finance Director Joseph Calvert told the council that April had been projected to show a $488,000 loss, but came in at $326,000 in the negative instead, creating an $862,000 favorable variance for the month. Calvert credited the result to expense management and income outperforming expectations…
