Man arrested after swinging machete, making threats behind Palm Springs gas station

PALM SPRINGS, Fla. (CBS12) — A South Florida man was arrested Wednesday night after making threats while brandishing a machete behind a Palm Springs gas station.

Officers with the Palm Springs Police Department say a man and a woman with a dog were sitting behind the RaceTrac gas station on Lake Worth Road just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday when 56-year-old Miguel Robaina Dominguez appeared “out of nowhere.”

Police say the man, also known as “Cuba,” brandished a large machete from his pants and began swinging the blade just inches from the victim’s face, screaming, “You want to f*** with me?” in Spanish…
