West Palm Beach man caught in undercover child predator sting at Intracoastal Park

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach food delivery driver is behind bars after allegedly driving to a park on Thursday to meet who he believed was a 14-year-old girl for sex.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 44-year-old John Johnson was arrested Thursday evening by Boynton Beach Police at Intracoastal Park after an undercover officer posed as a child and arranged the meeting on the social messaging app MeetMe.

The affidavit states that the conversation quickly shifted to text messaging, where Johnson allegedly requested explicit photos, transmitted harmful material, and explicitly negotiated a meeting for sexual acts…
