DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Delray Beach retailer is bagless and back behind bars after deputies say he continued selling counterfeit Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Prada handbags despite a previous arrest for the same scheme.
84-year-old Ronald C. Axelrod, owner of Ronnie’s Shoes at 6578 W. Atlantic Ave., was arrested Thursday following an undercover investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a probable cause affidavit, deputies first became aware of Axelrod’s alleged operation in 2024 after receiving a tip that he was selling counterfeit luxury merchandise. The investigation led to a raid of the store and Axelrod’s arrest on April 30, 2025…
