Warrant Leads to Arrest of Driver Accused in July Fatal Coral Springs DUI Crash

A man accused of driving drunk and causing a fatal rear-end crash in Coral Springs in July has now been taken into custody following the issuance of a warrant in connection with the case.

Joseph Adam Callejo, 42, of Margate, was taken into custody on September 9 following the completion of an investigation into a July 20 crash at West Sample Road and Turtle Run Boulevard that left one person dead, according to Coral Springs Police Department records. He now faces charges including DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, DUI with property damage or injury, DUI-first offense, and refusal to submit to testing.
