WEST PALM BEACH — For Retevia Colleton, there are still the feelings of disbelief.

It was just just over two weeks ago that her younger brother, Tommie Anderson III, was shot and killed in what police described as an attempted robbery while he was delivering pizzas in West Palm Beach.

“The pain is indescribable,” said Colleton, speaking recently from her home in Jacksonville. “I wake up every morning with tears in my eyes. I can’t believe it.”

On Saturday, Jan. 20, friends and family gathered for a service in West Palm Beach to remember the man known to those who knew him as a devoted father to his 12- and 7-year-old sons, an avid fisherman and a hard worker who hoped to one day start his own lawn-maintenance business.

Tommie Anderson was just on his second day working as a pizza-delivery driver in Palm Beach County

Colleton described her brother as someone who took joy in helping others. He considered spending time with his sons to be his most important priority, she said.
