25-year-old killed in three-vehicle crash in Roy identified

ROY, Utah (ABC4) — Police have identified a man killed in a three-vehicle crash at 4750 S and 1900 W on Thursday night.

On May 28, a gold Honda Accord was traveling in the area of 4750 S and 1900 W in Roy when it reportedly collided with a semi-truck and a trailer around 6 p.m. The driver of the Accord was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The semi-truck driver was not injured. However, a third driver involved in the collision was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated, layer being transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Weber County Metro CRASH Team responded to the area and conducted the investigation. While the crash is still under investigation, they determined the Honda was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the incident.
