U.S. Marshals arrest Ada County fugitive barricading himself in Boise home

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A man wanted on a felony warrant after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop in Eagle was arrested in Meridian following a brief barricade, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

The U.S. Marshals Service’s Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Daniel Wayne Bennett on a felony arrest warrant issued May 15, 2026, for fleeing an Eagle Police traffic stop.

Eagle Police reported that just after midnight May 7, 2026, officers attempted to stop Bennett for driving at speeds over 80 miles per hour on Chinden Road. Police said Bennett fled in a Nissan 350Z, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. The vehicle was later found crashed and abandoned in Nampa…
