NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — The plea deal for a Nampa mother accused of the death of her newborn may be changed or off the table. The judge called a recess to speak with her lawyer and the prosecutor in his chambers, then rescheduled the hearing for Aug. 20.
“A legal issue has come up,” Judge Thomas Witney said. “It is necessary to give the attorneys time to conduct more legal research before we move forward.”
