A 52-year-old Meridian man was arrested on a felony warrant Tuesday after barricading himself in his home, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.
The man was removed from his home on West Ashby Drive when members of the U.S. Marshal Service’s Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force breached an exterior door and sent in a police K-9 after numerous attempts to contact the man were unsuccessful, officials said.
The Meridian resident was considered a fugitive after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop in Eagle just after midnight on May 7, after being clocked at speeds of faster than 80 mph on Chinden Road, the release said.
