Boise man charged with first-degree murder in Greenbelt murder

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — An arrest has been made in the murder of 25-year-old Jordan Harbst, who was found dead along the Boise River Greenbelt on Monday.

Boise police arrested Ross Wardlaw, 41, of Boise, on Thursday, July 9, 2026. He is charged with first-degree murder.

Investigators said evidence indicates that shortly after midnight on Monday, Wardlaw attacked Harbst as Harbst was traveling along the Greenbelt near 11th Street. Police said Wardlaw allegedly stabbed Harbst multiple times, leading to his death…
