Meridian, Idaho (CBS2) — Meridian police said a drone helped officers quickly track down and arrest a suspect who fled after an aggravated battery incident Monday afternoon.
At about 12:45 p.m., the Meridian Police Department’s Drone First Responder program was deployed as officers responded to the altercation. Police said the suspect, identified as Ryan Cox, 35, of Meridian, left the scene before officers arrived.
The drone located the suspect’s vehicle and followed it to the 1500 block of S. Loder Place. When officers arrived, they determined Cox had gone into hiding. After multiple announcements directing him to surrender were unsuccessful, a Meridian Police K9 team was deployed and Cox was apprehended…
