Nampa City Council will potentially vote on 2027 budget on Monday

NAMPA — The city has been busy on social media, posting Aug. 17 as the date when it will discuss and potentially approve a nearly $293.5 million fiscal year 2027 budget. After several months of discussions, presentations, public hearings and public comment, that day is almost here.

The budget, if approved as is, would mean an approximate $16.6 million decrease from the 2026 adopted budget, which was nearly $310.1 million. That is a 5.36% decrease.

The city council meeting for this last public hearing about the budget will start at 5 p.m. Monday at City Hall. The public hearing itself is scheduled for 6 p.m…
